8th Grade Shadow Days - FALL 2024

You’re invited to see and experience DePaul College Prep for yourself - observe academics in the classroom, meet new friends and peers with similar interests, and learn about DePaul Prep's exciting clubs and sports teams.

Starting September 10th, 8th grade students are welcome to shadow one of our current students on select dates until December 5th. Due to high demand, we can welcome no more than 30 students on each of those days on a first come - first serve basis.

We look forward to seeing you on campus soon!

We kindly request that Shadow Days are scheduled at least 72 hours in advance of the requested date. Should you need to reschedule, please email tbattaglia@depaulprep.org. Dates and availability subject to change.

How it works

   You may request to shadow a student that you know personally (indicate in the "Shadow Host Preference" box when registering) or you will be paired with a DePaul Prep student that shares common interests. While we try our best to accommodate all requests, we cannot guarantee you will be matched with your preferred student based on their daily schedule.

Shadowing students will be provided lunch (pizza, drink, and dessert) - please note any dietary allergies/restrictions when registering. Students may also bring their own lunch if preferred.

Please send a book/magazine/reading material with your student in the off-chance they are involved in a class that is testing.

Students in attendance for a Shadow Day must be dropped off no later than 7:30 am at our SOUTH entrance (3300 N. Campbell) and should be picked up at 1:20 pm in the same location.

What to wear

If applicable, please wear your elementary school uniform. If your school does not require a uniform, please wear:

Boys: Dress pants/khakis and a collared shirt. Polo style shirts and gym shoes are acceptable.

Girls: Dress pants/khakis or dress skirt. Polo style shirts and gym shoes are acceptable.

Not allowed: Jeans, leggings, t-shirts, sweat pants/shirts, sleeveless/mid-drift tops
