DePaul College Prep Announces Illinois State Scholars
Illinois Student Assistance Commission congratulates nine
DePaul College Prep students on their exceptional academic achievement
The students recognized comprise nearly 10% percent of the DePaul Prep Class of 2019 and, together,
achieved an average ACT score of 30 with a weighted average GPA of 4.03
CHICAGO, IL (December 10, 2018) -- President, Ms. Mary Dempsey and Principal, Dr. Megan Stanton-Anderson are pleased to announce that nine students from the DePaul College Prep graduating class of 2019 have been recognized as Illinois State Scholars.
Illinois State Scholars represent approximately the top ten percent of high school seniors from 757 high schools across the state. Illinois State Scholars are chosen based on a combination of exemplary ACT or SAT test scores and sixth-semester class rank.
The following DePaul College Prep students were named 2019-20 Illinois State Scholars:

The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC), the state agency committed to helping to make college accessible and affordable for Illinois families, confers this prestigious recognition to top Illinois high school students annually. This year, more than 21,000 honorees join the other top students who have been honored for their academic achievements since the designation was first introduced in 1958.
“In this 60th year of the Illinois State Scholar Program, we commend another class of outstanding students that will lead us into the future,” said Eric Zarnikow, executive director of ISAC. “Congratulations to these Scholars for their hard work and accomplishments, and congratulations to the families, principals, teachers, counselors, coaches, mentors, and all of the other individuals who not only help our students find the path that will allow them to flourish, but also support them every step of the way.”
