This AAPI Heritage Month, DePaul College Prep proudly celebrates the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities.

The groundbreaking ceremony and liturgy marking the start of construction of DePaul College Prep's $32 million indoor Athletic Complex was held on April 9, 2026 before an audience of hundreds of supporters and friends. His Eminence Blase Cardinal Cupich presided over the liturgy and blessed the project. 

Three DePaul College Prep siblings and alumni—Mati, Sephi, and James Favela—are now pursuing their degrees at DePaul University, carrying forward the Vincentian values and strong academic foundations they developed at DePaul Prep.

Senior Maria Danaher joins Destiny Cruz (Northwestern University) and Maje Davis (Howard University) as an Evans Scholar for the Class of 2026. 

With a 56-46 victory over York at the State Farm Center in Champaign, IL on Friday night, March 13, 2026, the DePaul College Prep boys basketball team captured 3rd Place in the IHSA Class 4A State Tournament! Seniors Rykan Woo and Rashaun Porter led the Rams with 18 and 13 points, respectively.

Two goals every year: secure the Chicago Catholic League title and win a State Championship. One down, one to go!

DePaul College Prep Girls Golf Coach Taylor Lambertsen was recently recognized as one of the Top 100 Growth of the Game Teaching Professionals by Golf Range Association of America (GRAA).

DePaul College Prep is proud to celebrate two Posse Scholars in its Class of 2026—Alma S. and Jayden E. Alma will major in Neuroscience at Oberlin College and Jayden will major in legal studies at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

Digital clocks were recently installed in DePaul College Prep’s hallways at the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year. Tasked with promoting change on behalf of their classmates, current senior Student Government representatives proposed the installation of digital clocks in Spring 2025. 

DePaul College Prep is pleased to announce that 77 students from the graduating Class of 2026 have been designated as Illinois State Scholars. This is the largest number of Illinois State Scholars named in school history!

Two DePaul College Prep Seniors, Destiny C. and Maje D., have been named recipients of the prestigious Evans Scholarship through the Western Golf Association.

Following the DePaul Prep Rams Boys Basketball three-peat state IHSA championship win, the top-ranked team in the preseason Super 25 rankings was profiled in the Chicago Sun-Times.

The One Dream, All In capital campaign is approaching our final goal, thanks to the generosity of our many donors. We are only $7.8 million away from our total campaign goal of $65 million! 

The One Dream capital campaign was launched in 2019.  Since then, more than $57 million has been raise.

Congratulations to DePaul Prep Senior, Noah M., for being named a National Merit Semifinalist! This honor recognizes outstanding academic achievement, dedication, and excellence. 

DePaul College Prep is very proud to congratulate the following seniors for earning National Merit recognition!

DePaul Prep Senior Billy C. was named a National Merit Semifinalist this year. He is one of 16,000 academically talented high school seniors who will continue in the competition for 6,870 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million.

Our first-ever “Sunset Showdown” was a huge success, with over 1,500 community members joining us at the DePaul Prep Stadium this past Saturday, September 6. We extend a special thank you to St. Ignatius for being a fantastic competitor. 

With a team score of 29 points on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL, the DePaul College Prep Girls Track and Field team captured 6th place in the IHSA Class 2A State Finals! The 6th-place finish is the highest place in school history. 

Theology Faculty member Rich Raho appeared as a guest on LiveNOW from FOX and DePaul Prep Alum Cole Ceravolo (Class of 2022) was interviewed by CBS News Chicago.

Le Grand Concours, or National French Exam is an annual competition where students of French in grades 1-12, in all 50 states and abroad, take a written test and compete against students with similar educational backgrounds for prizes.

DePaul College Prep's French Program has been awarded the "Exemplary with Honors" distinction by the American Association of Teachers of French!

With a 55-52 instant classic double overtime victory over Br. Rice on Saturday evening at the State Farm Center in Champaign, IL, the DePaul College Prep boys basketball team captured 1st Place in the IHSA Class 3A State Tournament!
