WORKPLACE GIVING
Workplace giving is an easy and efficient way to make tax-deductible donations to DePaul College Prep, typically with donations taken directly from your paycheck from organizations such as United Way.
GIFTS OF STOCKS AND SECURITIES
Gifts of appreciated stock is a wonderful way to help DePaul Prep continue its mission and for the donor to receive tax benefits on such gifts. If you itemize your deductions, you can claim a charitable income tax deduction for the fair market value of the donated securities and avoid capital gains tax. If you no longer itemize, donating appreciated stock still provides the benefit of not having to pay tax on the appreciation. This allows DePaul College Prep to receive a larger gift than if it was sold by the owner and the owner receives a greater tax deduction by giving the stock directly to the school.
