Freshman Applicants

Admission to DePaul College Prep is based on consideration of a combination of factors including, but not limited to: Entrance Exam scores, grade school academic performance, extracurricular involvement, and relationship to DePaul College Prep.

Application Process:

  • Step 1: Complete Inquiry Form

    Complete a Student Inquiry Form - this allows us to stay in contact with you and creates both student and parent/guardian MyDePaulPrep accounts within our system.

  • Step 2: Entrance Exam

    The DePaul College Prep entrance exam will be held on December 5, 2026 at 8 a.m. Interested students should pre-register for the exam beginning November 13, 2026 through the parent/guardian MyDePaulPrep account. Learn more about the entrance exam.

    Eighth grade students interested in applying to DePaul College Prep for the 2027–2028 year should take the entrance exam at DePaul College Prep on December 5, 2026. 

    Students will only be considered for Financial Aid and Merit Award(s) if they take the Entrance Exam at DePaul College Prep.

  • Step 3: Online Application

    Complete the online application through the parent/guardian MyDePaulPrep account. The online application will be available beginning December 5, 2026 and will be due on December 18, 2026. 

  • Step 4: School Records & Test Scores

    Upload school records and standardized testing scores through the parent/guardian MyDePaulPrep account.

  • Step 5: Optional Financial Aid Application

    Complete the optional Financial Aid application prior to December 31, 2026.

Transfer Applicants

DePaul College Prep accepts transfer applications for the upcoming school year on a rolling basis. Admission is determined by academic fit, space availability, and the successful completion of the student's current school year. Please note that due to capacity limits, the school reserves the right to limit transfer enrollment even if an applicant meets all admission criteria.

  • Step 1: Complete Inquiry Form

    Complete an Inquiry Form - this allows us to stay in contact with you and creates both the student and parent/guardian MyDePaulPrep account within our system.

  • Step 2: Transfer Student Application

    Complete the online Transfer Student Application Form through the student checklist on the parent/guardian MyDePaulPrep account. This application will open March 2027.

  • Step 3: Upload Transcripts

    Upload unofficial transcripts to the student checklist on the parent/guardian MyDePaulPrep account. Official transcripts are required after the applicant's current school year is completed.

  • Step 4: Letters of Recommendation

    Submit two letters of recommendation by uploading them to the student's checklist in the parent/guardian MyDePaulPrep account. Submission must include:
    • One letter from a Principal or Assistant Principal
    • One letter from a current teacher

  • Step 5: Upload Standardized Tests

    Upload copies of most recent standardized tests (HSPT, PSAT, PLAN, ACT, SAT, etc.) to the student checklist on the parent/guardian MyDePaulPrep account.
